The State Plans to Settle Ticket Prices of Chong Kneas Tourist Boats for National Tourists

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Tourism plans to settle tourist ticket prices in the Chong Kneas area for national tourists, in order to promote domestic tourism to Siem Reap province.

The project was raised by Tourism Minister Thong Khon at the first meeting of the Siem Reap-Angkor Tourism Management and Development Committee on Monday, 8 August, in Phnom Penh.

Prime Minister Hun Sen said during the closing ceremony of the last meeting of the Ministry of Tourism, that he decided to designate 2023 as the year to attract more international tourists to visit Cambodia under the "Visit Cambodia Year 2023" campaign. While Cambodia is hosting the SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games, promoting domestic tourism is still an important strategy that the Prime Minister reminded of.

In the first seven months of 2022, the state collected US $43,662 from the sale of boat tickets to tourists.
